PATHWAYS TO FREEDOM PINS
In 2018 I was commissioned by the Jewish Arts Collaborative to create a site specific greater Boston area public art work that would engage various parts of the diverse community in a conversation about freedom and immigration. Inspired by themes of the jewish story of Passover, or the Exodus story, I created a tapestry of 1800 individuals stories. They shared by making a pin, and then a digital copy was made into a 6000 square foot mural in Boston Common at the based of Soldiers and Sailors Monument. You can see more here
You can still have a part of the project by buying a pin. Created by individuals to reflect their relationship to Freedom and Immigration, you can now own an edition of these pins. There are 6 to choose from and three of each available. You can hear participants stories also online.

As part of my research for this project I went to Lesbos, Greece to work with refugees who had landed by crossing the Agean Sea. 50% sale of the pins will be donated to the LightHouse Relief Project, which is the group that I worked with and who continue to work very hard keeping people fed, clothed and safe.
